Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) coverage keeps assets reachable beyond cellular footprints, using the same SIM and billing model as terrestrial service.
The evolution of 3GPP standards allows for communication from your same cellular device to a satellite in orbit. In theory, your device attempts to connect to the terrestrial network since it’s nearby, faster, and lower-cost; however, if the device is unable to connect terrestrially it will then connect to a satellite.
Not all devices perform the same. NTN connectivity comes with new design constraints, technical challenges, and proper planning. The team at Massive has years of NTN experience dating back to the introduction of the first NTN modems and modules.
